About AyurVastu
AyurVastu is a scientific method of healing space based on vastu shastra and ayurveda. It provides effective solutions to vastu defects (Vastu dosha) causing imbalance in a building without heavy renovations. It synergises human architectural spaces with the basic five elements called panchtattva, the surrounding bio-energy flow through directions and Geo-Electromagnetic field forces present in building called vastu purusha mandala. It positively harmonises buildings, so that the person living or working inside can live an optimised, well-balanced, and prosperous life. It helps to achieve excellence in the work, successful career, general happiness and abundance in life.
Vastu Purusha Mandala The 45 conscious living Geo-Electromagnetic fields
The moment the foundations are laid for any building, it creates some bio-Geo-Electromagnetic fields inside the constructed area. These Geo-Electromagnetic fields continue to develop until the construction is finished. In the final stage of construction, these energetic fields begin to behave like a conscious living being: this Geo-Electromagnetic field is known as Vastu Purusha Mandala in Vastu Shastra. This is universal consciousness, which is omnipresent. Due to lack of understanding, there might be some imbalances created by the architecture of the building. Panchtattva The principle of five elements which governs building
Once the energies fields are created, the five principle elements are also manifested within the building, in order to carry out the function of these energy fields. These five elements are explained in ayurveda as pancha tattva. They are: Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Each element has specific functionalities. For example, the Water element represents flow. It influences our health, governs flow of ideas, flow of opportunities in the building, and stimulates our sense of taste. Similarly, Fire element influences courage, strength, passion, and our sense of vision. Each principle of Tattva has its particular functions, and governs these functions within our space. To harmonise with these functions, each room and corner of a building is recommended to have some specific colours and interior attributes. The five elements are interdependent and interconnected. Each produces another and gain strength from a previous element. This equilibrium of creation and destruction maintains the balance and function of energies. If we use opposite colours or create an imbalance in the cycle, it will create functional disabilities in the building. Hence it is important to choose the correct colour and interiors for a building. For example, if fundamental aspects of the water element are imbalanced, the residents or people within will constantly crave, due to lack of opportunities in their lives, lack of flow of ideas in their minds, and their taste will alter in terms of food, colours, and important decisions in life.
Vastu Disha The 16 functional directions
The Geo-Electromagnetic fields, directions and five principle of elements further divide each building into sixteen zones. Each zone has its unique function due to the combination of the Geo-Electromagnetic fields present in this zone, the element which is influencing the zone, and the direction which creates potential in that zone. For example, north-east is represented by the head of the vastu purusha mandala, and comes under control of the water element. Hence it has a very important role in influencing the mind pattern of each individual residing in that building. It will influence their thinking pattern: if balanced it will facilitate good insights. But if imbalanced, it can create stress, anxiety, and block thoughts. According to Vastu Shastra each zone has a particular function and hence recommends a particular activity to be taken in that particular zone. For example, north-east is ideal for meditation and gaining insights; South-east is under the influence of the fire element and thus good for kitchen; south-west is influenced by the earth element and gives stability, making it good for relationships.
